Summary:
Operates conventional, special purpose, and numerical control machines, and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads and understands drawings, blueprints, and CNC programs to determine dimensions, tolerances, and materials to run parts.
- Secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and notifies lead to adjust machine controls or control media as required.
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
- Confers with lead or production manager to resolve machining problems.
- Signs in and out of work orders for each job.
- Filling in tie-in books to enable smooth transitions between shifts.
- Completing quality logs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Summary:
